UK Power Networks has contacted us to say that works are beginning to remove the old pylons passing through Chislet. The first stage, commencing soon, will involve removing the hedge and widening the opening to the entrance to the field on the left hand side of the road half way down Nethergong Hill, just above Nethergong Farm as you go down the hill to Chislet from Upstreet. The removal work will be ongoing for some time.
