Urgent Road Closure - Grove Ferry Hill, Chislet - 5th April 2022

Kent County Council have informed us that it will be necessary to close Grove Ferry Hill, Chislet from 5th April 2022 for up to 1 day.

The road will be closed at 20 meters either side of Grove Ferry level crossing.

The alternative route for cars and light vehicles under 7.5T is via Grove Ferry Road, Grove Road, Stourmouth Road, Preston Road, The Street, Plucks Gutter, Gore Street, A253 Ramsgate Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Island Road, Grove Ferry Hill and vice versa.

The alternative route for vehicles over 7.5T is via Grove Ferry Road, Grove Road, The Street, Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 Goberry Hill, Roman Road, Pedding Hill, Ash Bypass, Sandwich Road, Each End, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Ramsgate Road, Richborough Way, A299 Hengist Way, A253 Canterbury Road, A253 Ramsgate Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Island Road and vice versa.

It is planned that the road will be closed between 13:30 hrs and 17:00 hrs.

This is to enable level crossing repairs to be carried out by Network Rail.
