Kent County Council (KCC) have informed us that it will be necessary to close part of A28 Island Road, Upstreet from 7th February 2023, with estimated completion by 10th February 2023.
A28 Island Road, Upstreet will be closed in the general vicinity of numbers 1 and 2 Wall End Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A28 Island Road, Canterbury Road, A299 Thanet Way, Herne Street, Canterbury Road, Calcott Hill, Herne Bay Road, Sturry Hill, A28 Island Road, Staines Hill and vice versa.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while connection works are undertaken by South East Water.
