Kent County Council (KCC) has informed us that it will be necessary to make an Order to temporarily impose a 40 MPH speed limit on part of A28 Island Road, Upstreet, from the existing speed limit sign (at the side of 145 Island Road) for a distance of approximately 400 metres in an Easterly direction (see map below). The restriction is planned from 24th October 2022 with estimated completion by 28th October 2022.
The speed restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by South East Water.
